Experience the forest in a different light on an evening snowshoe walk in Ruka–Kuusamo. After dark, familiar winter scenery takes on a quieter character: dark tree shapes, pale snow and a sky that changes with the weather. Your English-speaking guide introduces the snowshoe equipment and leads the walk along a route chosen for the evening's conditions.
Pause in suitable clearings and take a moment to look up. When the sky opens, there may be stars above the trees or a glimpse of northern lights moving across the darkness. The walk is a chance to spend time outdoors after nightfall and enjoy the atmosphere of the northern winter. Snowshoes, poles and a hot drink are included.
