MEET FINLAND
Booking terms
Effective date: 7 November 2026 · version 2026-11-07-v1.
1. Who you book with
Meet Finland is operated by Northfolk Oy, Business ID 3624593-1. Company correspondence address: Männistöntie 84, 92500 Rantsila, Finland. Email: [email protected]. Telephone: +358 40 523 2133.

These terms cover individual day activities sold by us to consumers. The activity description, the information provided before you submit your order, our booking confirmation, and the Cancellations and refunds policy form part of your booking.
Different or additional terms may apply to a private quotation or a package trip. We provide those terms before you become bound by the relevant booking. Nothing in these terms reduces your mandatory legal rights.
2. Booking and confirmation
Our standard winter activities require at least 28 days’ advance notice. Longer product-specific notice periods and earlier included services may require more notice. The booking calendar applies the relevant cutoff.
These standard activities use instant booking in Bókun. Selecting a date alone is not a booking: complete the checkout and retain the booking confirmation issued for your activity. A separate enquiry does not reserve inventory or confirm availability.
A local activity provider may be arranged after checkout. The seller remains responsible for the service sold; this does not make a completed booking an unaccepted request. If the agreed service cannot be provided, the cancellation and refund provisions below apply.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in euros and include applicable VAT and mandatory charges shown at checkout. The total price, participant numbers, activity date and payment terms are shown before you commit to pay.
Extras are included only where expressly listed. We do not add an undisclosed mandatory supplement after acceptance. A material change to a completed booking needs your agreement.
The payment service shown at checkout processes your payment. A payment receipt and an activity booking confirmation may be separate documents.
4. Local operators and subcontractors
An activity may be delivered wholly or partly by an independent local operator, guide, farm, transport company or other subcontractor. You may therefore meet a different business or guide from the company operating this website.
Where we are your contracting seller, using a subcontractor does not remove our responsibility for the services we have agreed to supply. Contact us about your booking, changes, cancellations or complaints. We may coordinate the practical arrangements with the operator.
We may replace a subcontractor while keeping the agreed essential features of your activity. If a proposed change materially alters what you booked, we explain it and seek your agreement rather than treating it as automatically accepted.
5. What is included
The agreed product description and confirmation specify the duration, group format, meeting arrangements, equipment and other inclusions.
Transport is included only where stated. Included pickup is limited to the area, meeting point or agreed address specified for your activity. It does not automatically include airport transfers, distant accommodation or travel between destinations.
The confirmed pickup instructions take priority over a general estimate on the website. Be available throughout the communicated pickup window. A short pickup window is not permission for us to make unlimited changes to the activity start.
Tell us promptly if your confirmation contains an error or if an agreed inclusion is missing.
6. Conditions, safety and natural phenomena
Outdoor activities depend on local conditions. Guides may make reasonable route or practical adjustments where necessary for safety, while preserving the agreed essential experience.
Follow safety instructions and the age, fitness, clothing and other participation requirements disclosed before booking. Please contact us before booking if you need an accessibility adjustment or are unsure whether an activity is suitable. We will check what can reasonably be arranged.
We may refuse or stop participation where a person's conduct, intoxication or failure to follow essential instructions creates a genuine safety risk. Any charge or refund is assessed fairly under the circumstances and applicable law; this is not an automatic right to retain every payment.
Northern lights, wildlife sightings, fish catches and particular snow or weather conditions are not guaranteed unless a specific written guarantee forms part of your booking. The absence of a sighting does not alone mean that a properly delivered guided activity was not provided.
7. Changes, cancellations and refunds
Our Cancellations and refunds policy forms part of these terms. It explains customer cancellations, changes, cancellations by us and refund arrangements.
Cancellation may become necessary up to and including the activity day. We notify you as soon as the problem is known. If we cancel the whole activity before it starts, we refund the full amount paid to us for it, including mandatory booking charges. Your other statutory rights remain unaffected.
8. Our responsibility and your rights
If a service is not provided as agreed, contact us so that we can address the problem. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to correction, an alternative you accept, a price reduction, a refund and/or compensation.
We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not waive our safety obligations or liability for death or personal injury caused by our conduct, intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence.
Travel insurance can help cover risks outside the service we sell, including your own travel disruption or personal cancellation. Insurance does not replace our contractual or statutory responsibilities.
9. Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong during the activity, tell the guide or operator and contact us promptly so that we have an opportunity to put it right. You can send a written complaint to [email protected], with your booking reference and a description of the issue. Reporting promptly helps us investigate; it does not impose an artificial deadline on statutory claims.
If we cannot resolve a consumer dispute, you may seek advice from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority's Consumer Advisory Services. Where the matter falls within its jurisdiction, you can refer it to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board. The Board issues recommendations.
Finnish law applies, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protection available under applicable law. You retain the right to bring proceedings before a court with jurisdiction under the applicable rules.
10. Personal information and changes to these terms
Our Privacy notice explains how we use personal information. Our Cookie notice explains website technologies and your choices.
The version supplied when your booking was made applies to that booking. Updating this page does not by itself change an existing contract.
